What makes cvtome different from other CV sites?
You pay once per CV — no subscription and no “trial” that turns into a monthly fee — and your credits never expire. Your CV and the interface are available in any of the 24 EU languages, the templates are designed for 17 professions, and AI works only with your facts and shows every change “before / after”. Your account also includes a cover letter that matches your CV, a check with ready-made fixes, an applications board, a career test for your country’s job market and a resignation letter under the law of 7 EU countries. We are a European company, and uploaded files are not stored.
Will my CV get through employers’ ATS systems?
The PDF is generated from real text, not an image — the text is selectable and readable by applicant tracking systems (ATS). Sections have clear headings, and dates and contact details follow a standard format. For the strictest systems, choose the “Minimalist” template — text only, no columns or photo.
How do I pay for my CV?
You create and edit your CV for free. When you are ready to download it, you “unlock” it once — 30 credits, whichever template you use, general or profession-specific. After that, editing, switching templates and downloading the PDF of that CV are free and unlimited.
In what format can I download my CV?
As an A4 PDF — it looks exactly like the preview in the editor and is ready to send. Once your CV is unlocked, you can download it again at any time without spending more credits.
Is it free? Do I need to register?
Registration is free, and so are creating, editing and previewing CVs. Credits are spent on unlocking a CV when you download it (30 credits, any template, once per CV) and on AI features. Once you confirm your email, you receive 40 credits free — spend them on anything in the platform — for example, uploading your old CV with AI (10 credits) plus unlocking the CV (30 credits).
What are credits and how much do they cost?
Credits are the service’s internal currency. You buy a pack once — from 100 credits for €9.99 — and spend them when you need to: on unlocking a CV (30 credits, any template) and on AI features. Creating and editing CVs is free. No subscription and no automatic renewal.
Do credits expire?
No. Purchased and free credits stay in your account until you use them — whether you apply this week or a year from now.
Can the AI invent things I have never done?
The AI features are set up to rephrase, reorder and highlight only what is already in your CV — no new experience, companies, dates, education or achievements. Every change is shown “before / after”, and you accept or reject each one. Requirements from the job ad that your CV doesn’t cover are shown separately as advice and are never added automatically. Nor does the AI guess your gender from your name or photo: it writes in neutral terms unless you choose otherwise in your profile.
What happens to my personal data?
Your CVs are stored in your account on our server so you can open them on any device, and you can delete your account and all your data at any time in your account settings (with a confirmation code sent by email). Your email is used only for signing in and service messages (confirmation, password reset, payments) — no marketing. When you download, the PDF is generated and not stored. Uploaded files and job ad texts are not kept on our side. AI requests are processed by Anthropic and AI photos by OpenAI, as processors on our behalf, without being used to train models.
Can I upload my old CV instead of starting from scratch?
Yes. When you create a new CV, choose “Import my CV” — a PDF, a Word file or a photo — and AI fills in the fields for you (10 credits). You then review and edit, and unlock the CV when you download it (30 credits).
Does it work on a phone?
Yes. The editor is built for mobile devices: you switch between “Edit” and “Preview”, take your CV photo straight from the camera, and download just as you would on a computer.
Which languages does it support? Can I make a CV in English?
The app is available in all 24 official EU languages — choose the interface language from the menu. Your CV can be in any of them too: section headings and dates follow the language you choose, and AI improves and tailors your text in the CV’s language.
